Love Made Real is supporting the work of nationals Jorge and Maria Muñoz in the village of Santiago, Sacatepéquez, Guatemala. Jorge and Maria run a Feeding Centre that provides nutritional meals twice a week for local widows and children. Several moms take turns cooking the meals that include meat and vegetables, as well as tortilla bread. Currently, there are 95 children and 35 moms registered, with numbers being added regularly.
When teams are in-country, a big part of the trip is spent at the Feeding Centre loving on the children and women. Teams bring crafts for the children and often organize a special night for the moms that includes a meal, ministry time, and the gift of a food package. Donations are always appreciated for LMR to purchase shoes, vitamins, baby necessities, and school supplies to distribute while we are there.
The cost of food for one feeding day is $100 CAD.
